Birth of MHT
More than a company, MindHelix came about as the dream of three young engineers. When Thomas introduced Kalidas to Christin it was the start of a relationship that resulted in MHT. Chris and Thomas, being family, had worked on multiple projects together. Hobby Projects and Applications for clients were created and deployed by the duo. Thomas was the expert programmer, intuitive coder with an uncanny adaptability to any computer related scenario and Chris being the whole logistics, creative thinking, design and management department. They worked together, each complimenting the other. The introduction of Kalidas to the group lead to a turning point where three dreams collided merged and raced forth in the direction of starting something of our own.
The idea of MindHelix was dormant for a few months, each pondering on the implications. On 2009 Dec 31, they decided to move forth together as a team to face challenges and provide a working place for employees that treated them like people, cared for them, appreciated them and grow together as a family.
Even before solving the dilemma of the technology niche to concentrate into, MHT had decided on the corporate employee policy. It is about being humane, having fun at work.
With experience and expertise in multiple fields like Desktop Application Development, Web App development, Mobile Programming and even Robotics, MHT had to choose one vertical to concentrate on wherein innovative thinking and products can be applied and sold effectively. Speed, portability and the booming Mobile Application development market, with the sudden inflow of multiple players into the smart phone segment the choice was self evident.
Roping in two more batch mates Nandakumar and Abin was quickly followed by applying for incubation at "innovation Lab" an extension centre of Technopark TBI. Thanks to the innovative products already in pipeline, MindHelix established an office at the innovation Lab within two weeks of applying.
John F. Kennedy's famous words were the inspiration for MindHelix.
"We choose to go to the moon. We choose to start MindHelix Technologies not because it is easy, but because it is hard, because that goal will hone our talents, push our limits and help other people to attain their personal best because the challenge is one that we are willing to accept, unwilling to postpone and one in which we intend to win.
We chose the name MindHelix Technologies so as to denote the two core factors that has enabled the flourishing of human civilisation as it is seen today. Mind is where ideas grow, where thoughts flourish, innovations take root. "Human Mind" led us to what we are today. The other key factor that influenced human beings, the core of our physical existence, the code of life: DNA. Structured in the form of a double helix, it symbolises human existence as we see it today. Together Mind and DNA has created civilisations. MindHelix Technologies was chosen as the name.
The domains that each founders of MindHelix Technologies can take on ranges over Programming Desktops to Portable devices to Robotics to Event Management. But as MindHelix Technologies, with mobile devices (Phones and Tablets) actively replacing the mode of access to information, this is where the future is. The future is not set in stone, it is Mobile.
